Welcome to SMART ABA!

Empowering Neurodiverse Children Through Compassionate, Play-Based Therapy

At SMART ABA, we believe every child is full of potential—and deserves to be seen, heard, and supported. We offer a warm, caring and engaging environment where children with diverse developmental needs can grow through personalized, play-based ABA therapy rooted in respect, connection, and joy. We honor neurodiversity by embracing each child’s unique way of thinking, learning, and interacting with the world. Our approach is not about changing who a child is—it’s about helping them thrive on their terms, while fostering confidence, communication, and connection.

Our Approach

At SMART ABA, we use assent-based practices, meaning we prioritize the child’s voice and comfort throughout every step of therapy. We believe therapy should be a collaborative experience—not something done to a child, but with them.
We focus on supporting children across eight areas of development:
  • Language & Communication
  • Social Interaction & Play
  • Cognition & Executive Functioning
  • Motor & Adaptive Skills
  • Academic Readiness
  • Emotional Regulation
  • Positive Behavior Support
  • Daily Living Skills
Our therapists use play as the foundation for learning, blending natural exploration with structured support. Whether it's building a tower, engaging in a pretend tea party, or navigating a social game—play becomes a powerful tool to encourage meaningful growth.

Who We Serve
SMART ABA is here for children of all ages who may be navigating:
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • ADHD
  • Language & developmental delays
  • Behavioral or social-emotional challenges
  • And more...
We offer center, home and community-based services, designed to meet children where they are—developmentally and emotionally.

More Than Therapy — We’re Family
When you join SMART ABA, you’re not just accessing quality care—you’re joining a community that celebrates your child for exactly who they are. We partner with families every step of the way to ensure support is not only effective, but compassionate and consistent.

Let’s grow, play, and thrive—together.

Because as Helen Keller said, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”

Behavior Intervention Plans

🔍 Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Empowering Children Through Understanding, Respect, and Support At SMART ABA, our Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) are thoughtfully developed using insights from a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA)—with a strong focus on the child’s perspective, preferences, and needs. We recognize that all behavior communicates something important, and we work to understand the why behind those behaviors in a respectful, child-centered, and assent-informed way. Our approach ensures that children are not simply managed—they are heard, supported, and actively involved in their own progress through a foundation of trust, collaboration, and meaningful engagement.

Verbal Behavior Therapy

🗣️ Verbal Behavior Therapy Teaching Language with Purpose, Meaning, and Joy At Smart Scholars, we use Verbal Behavior Therapy (VBT) to help children become confident, purposeful communicators. Grounded in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and inspired by the work of B.F. Skinner, our approach is enriched by a deep respect for each child’s autonomy, preferences, and unique learning style. We believe that communication should be both functional and empowering—and that it should happen in a way that feels safe, engaging, and fun. That’s why our VBT sessions are built around a child-centered, assent-based philosophy, using play-based therapy to inspire participation, connection, and progress.
